Senior Learning & Development Specialist

Do you have an interest in applying your Learning and Development expertise in a dynamic, fast growing environment? Reporting directly to the Head of Talent and Team Development and working collaboratively with your team and others in the company, you will be responsible to ensure the effective delivery of company training and development activities in accordance with the company’s requirements. You will be supporting employees across the group operating and contributing to the strategic direction and development of training within the company.

Role & Responsibilities

Delivery of Services

  • Design, develop and deliver Learning and Development programs flowing from HR Development project plans.
  • Work with Head of Talent and Team Development and all stakeholders to determine appropriate delivery channel of courses.
  • Facilitate improved team building and team development program across the company.
  • Capture data, monitor and report regularly on the effectiveness of the Learning and Development program across the company.
  • Plan scope of work, delivery schedule and resource and budget requirements.
  • Ensure all material developed is congruent with communications policy and style guidelines.
  • Review metrics resulting from Learning and Development initiatives to ensure quality and appropriateness of Learning and Development design, and apply to deliverables.

Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team leaders.
  • Consults with key stakeholders to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of each business unit’s operations, the key operational imperatives and the implications for learning design and delivery.

Design and Development

  • Design and develop quality learning and development resources that result in effective learning and behavioral change and contribute to achievement of operational objectives.
  • Advise on appropriate course design and delivery to best achieve desired development outcomes.
  • Assess implications for instructional design learning development resource and contribute to decisions about in-house versus external provision of learning & development delivery.
  • Be well versed in various delivery methodologies including types of Instructor Led Training and web based approaches.


  • Degree or equivalent qualification ideally in Human Resources Development, Organizational Development or any related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 3 year experience of training, design, delivery and evaluation.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Experience of evaluating the effectiveness of training.
  • Sound planning and project management skills.
  • High level of skill in facilitating and leading groups.
  • Well-developed communication skills including the ability to persuade and influence to obtain optimal outcomes.
  • Computer literacy, to include MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of web-based technologies and Learning Management Systems.
